Introducing Shatil’s 2015 Interns: Hannah and Demi

Raised in Boston, Massachusetts, I am a rising junior at Princeton University, where I am studying Politics and Near Eastern Studies. I have always been interested in different cultures and in promoting intercultural exchange and understanding. Shatil’s work, in empowering Israel’s citizenry, fighting racism and promoting a Shared Society, speaks strongly to these interests, and I am very excited about the opportunity to intern with them this summer, and to learn more about the issues facing Israeli society and the work of social change organizations to resolve them.

Hi! I’m a junior at The Ohio State University studying Public Affairs, Nonprofit Management, and Community Development and Civic Engagement. Born and raised in Kansas City, I’ve grown up with immense pride for my hometown, frequently expressed through my love for the KC Royals and intense cravings for barbeque. I am so excited to further cultivate my knowledge and experience within the realms of equality and social justice and cannot wait for this summer at Shatil.
